Maria Aguilera, Co-Editor-in-Chief
Maria Aguilera is a Senior participating in the Cambridge Program at South Miami Senior High. This is her third year writing for The Serpent’s Tale, and she is proud to hold the position of Co-Editor-in-Chief for this year. Before she graduates, she wishes to create the same love for journalism in the new staff as she developed when she first joined the program; and she hopes that the long-lost tradition of journalism in her school will continue for many years to come. Outside of the school newspaper, Maria is a member of the National Honor Society (NHS), the National English Honor Society (NEHS), and she has performed in two Cobra Drama productions. Regarding her hobbies, Maria enjoys learning how to play guitar in the pop-punk and alternative rock genres, singing and composing songs, writing original works, drawing, acting, and experimenting with fashion. As of now, her plans for after high school are to study medicine in college, but she dreams that she can include her passion for the arts in her future as well. She is very excited to enter this new digital era for The Serpent’s Tale, and she cannot wait to see what the staff will accomplish next.
